Staying Safe Online

The internet is a wonderful resource for research, learning and enjoyment but it has its dangers too. Our children have more and more opportunities to access the internet, both at home and at school and therefore we take online safety very seriously.

As part of the Computing and Digital Literacy Curriculum each class has continuous support and teaching throughout the year regarding online safety. Every February, we take part in National Safer Internet Day. During this day, the children take part in a range of age-appropriate activities to learn how to stay safe online and parents are invited into the classes to share in the learning. During they year we aim to offer workshops and information sessions for parents.

Our online safety and acceptable use policies are robust, regularly reviewed and updated and are reflective of the best practice advised by Ofsted, CEOP and the Internet Safety Council.
