Nursery Explorers

Welcome to Nursery - home of our youngest

"Little Explorers"
Welcome to the new Spring term, to our existing and new Nursery friends!  This term we will be Plant explorers...........

We will begin by learning all about seeds.  What is a seed and what does it do?  Where do they come from?  What will happen if we plant some?  To help us find out the answers to these questions we will read stories such as The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle, and Ten Seeds by Ruth Brown.  We will also sing songs linked to seeds, plants and growth whilst learning alongside a variety of fun and engaging activities, including planting our own seeds.

Please scroll down to find video links to related stories and songs.  Also attached are some ideas for optional Home Learning Challenges.  If you should do a challenge we would love to see it on the Interactive Learning Diary!

Our learning journey will be recorded through the Interactive Learning Diary where you can view your child's adventures.  We will also chart our journey visually via our display in Nursery which will be added to along the way.
If you do not have access to the Interactive Learning Diary, please speak to Mrs. Stuckey or Miss Correnti who can sort this for you.

UPDATE! - We now have tadpoles to explore to go along with the theme of things that grow.  So far we know terms such as frog spawn, tadpole, froglet, frog.  See below for links to related videos and learning challenges.
