Attendance

Miss school, miss out!
​Children who are of a legal school age (the term after they are 5) must attend school every day, as much as possible. This is vital if children are to reach their full potential; academically, socially and emotionally. Just missing the odd day does not seem like a big issue, but the days soon add up into weeks of lost learning opportunities.

85% 6 weeks Almost 2 years of education
80% 8 weeks 2 and a half years of education
 
Morning registration is at 8.45am and afternoon registration is at 1pm. Being on time is an important skill for children to learn and ensures they do not miss any lessons. Our school target for attendance and punctuality is 96% and is monitored regularly by the Headteacher. Please speak to your child's class teacher if they are finding it hard to have good attendance or to come to school on time.
